Information

Forging is done in two directions.

Metals are divided into ferrous metals (steel) and non-ferrous metals (gold, silver, copper…)

Ferrous metal is hot forging, (heating, burning red)

Non-ferrous metals are cold forged. (heating annealing, cooling forging)

This article is about cold forging hammers.

There are two types of tools: casting and forging. Forged ones are better. In some large tool manufacturers in Europe, forged English will be marked on the tools.

What does it mean? One, better quality. Second, the price is more expensive than casting.

Casting, and forging, are different in molecular structure. One structural property is similar to cement, and the other is similar to wood.

At present, the series of FRETZ and naker brands, hammers and tools related to forging can be purchased in China.

The chisel hammer is also included, and the surface of the back of the foot is refined. They are also great.

As for the big labels, there is no problem in daily work use.

To advance to the top level, most of your tools should be self-made and customized. (Refer to some hammers in Japanese and European styles)

Regarding tools, there are several keywords, Rockwell hardness, steel type. Casting, Forging, Hardness, Strength. toughness. If you are interested, go to Baidu. If you are interested, you can find a tutorial for science and engineering, metal materials science, and heat treatment of metals. It should be a semester or two of freshman class.

It's not that the harder the better. Glass forging can't beat metal, its hardness is high.

A good hammer has toughness and super good feel. Not very bluntly bouncing around.

Regarding the forging principle, I would like to thank Mr. Zhao Danqi for playing Alchemy 2. Also sold. Take the liberty to use a few pages. This book can be read as a primer.
