Forging is one of the methods of non-ferrous metal pressure processing and a link in machinery manufacturing. According to the different temperature states of metal materials during forging and working, forging can be divided into hot forging, warm forging and cold forging.
Forging mentioned in this article refers to hot forging, that is, the metal material to be processed is in a red-hot state (within the forging temperature range), and the impact force or static pressure exerted on the metal by the forging equipment causes the metal to plastically deform to obtain a Forgings of expected dimensions and structure.
Forging
The main equipment of the forging workshop includes forging hammers, presses (hydraulic presses or crank presses), heating furnaces, etc. Production workers are often in unfavorable working environments such as vibration, noise, high temperature and hot smoke, stacking heads, and burrs.
Therefore, workers who operate these equipment should pay attention to hygiene, otherwise accidents are likely to occur in the production process, which is a personal injury accident. In forging production, three kinds of external accidents are prone to occur according to their causes:
Machinery - direct scratching and contact with machines, tools or workpieces;
Third, electrical contact.
From the perspective of labor protection, the characteristics of the forging workshop are:
1. Forging production is carried out in the hot state of the metal (for example, the forging temperature range of low carbon steel is between 125 ° C and 75 ° C), and combustion may occur if you are not careful.
2. The heating furnace and hot ingots, billets, and forgings in the forging workshop constantly emit a lot of heat (forgings still have a fairly high temperature at the end of forging), and workers are often injured by heat.
3. The smoke and dust produced by the heating furnace in the forging workshop are discharged into the air of the workshop, which not only affects the hygiene, but also reduces the visibility in the workshop (for the heating furnace burning solid fuel, the situation is serious), so it may also cause accidents.
4. Equipment used in forging production, such as air hammer, steam hammer, friction press, etc. , the impact is released when working. When the equipment is subjected to such an impact load, it is easy to be suddenly damaged (such as the sudden break of the forging hammer piston rod), resulting in serious accidents.
Although presses (such as hydraulic presses, crank hot die forging presses, flat forging presses, finishing presses) experience relatively small shock X during operation, sudden equipment damage often occurs, and operators are often caught off guard , which may also lead to an accident.
5. The working force of forging equipment is very large, such as crank presses, drawing forging presses and hydraulic presses. Although their working conditions are relatively stable, the forces generated by their working parts are very high. For example, the 12-foot forging hydraulic press has been manufactured and used in China. This is an ordinary 10~15 ton press, and the power it provides is enough.
If the mold is improperly installed or operated, most of the force will not act on the workpiece, but on the mold, tool or parts of the equipment itself. In this way, some errors in installation and adjustment or improper operation of tools may cause damage to machine parts and other serious equipment or personal accidents.
Forging
6. The tools and tools of the forge are forging and free forging tools, fixtures, etc. Names many, these tools are placed in the workplace. At work, tools are changed frequently and storage is cluttered, making it difficult to inspect these tools. When a certain tool is required for forging and cannot be found often, a similar tool is sometimes used to "make do", which often leads to accidents.
7. Noise and vibration in the operation of equipment in the forging workshop make the workplace noisy, affect people's hearing and system, distract attention, and increase the possibility of accidents.
